PARADOX Says It Gets No Respect From Booking Agencies

Long-running German metal band PARADOX has released the following statement:

"Due to numerous inquiries for live lacking presence of PARADOX in Germany, now for this an official statement from the band.

"Despite outstanding CD criticisms of the current album, 'Riot Squad', many of you may ask themselves, why PARADOX show so little live presence.

"Why PARADOX are not booked is reasoned by the fact that our native concert agencies and festival-bookers for what reason always shows no interest into PARADOX.

"They still ignore us.

"Their business runs among themselves and we belongs not to the family. Therefore play also in all regularity same bands on the bigger festivals.

"It is not because of us that PARADOX gets to see so rare. We want to give concerts, but nobody of them give us a chance.

"If you want to see us playing live, then please write to the magazines, which meanwhile already call PARADOX as Germany's most underrated band or to the forums of the festival sites.

"The band already began with the songwriting to the sixth studio album, which will be released in 2011 to their 25th anniversary."

PARADOX was recently rejoined by drummer Roland Jahoda.

The group's current lineup is as follows:

Charly Stenhauer (vocals, guitar)
Gus Drax (guitar)
Olly Keller (bass)
Roland Jahoda (drums)

PARADOX's new lineup will make its live debut on March 26 at Turock in Essen, Germany.

PARADOX recently parted ways with guitarist Kai Pasemann and drummer Roland Jahoda because they "found out we have a different view on how to reach our goals," according to a statement released by the band.

PARADOX's fifth LP, "Riot Squad", was released on October 16, 2009 via AFM Records. The cover artwork was once again created by Claudio Bergamin.

"Riot Squad" was produced by Charly Steinhauer and was mixed and mastered by Achim Köhler. It contains "10 crystal-clear and powerful sounding thrashers full of energy, speed, melody and originality," according to a press release.
